Job summary

Motion Industries, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer II to support the engineering team in designing material handling systems and automated conveyors.

You will translate concepts into detailed CAD drawings and 3D models to support project execution, working closely with engineers, project managers, production, and sales to ensure accurate designs. The role requires 5+ years of CAD drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, and familiarity with point-cloud data via Autodesk ReCap.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in CAD/drafting or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of CAD drafting/design experience in material handling or industrial automation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; familiarity with ReCap for point-cloud workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD drawings, layouts, assemblies, and digital models of material handling systems.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to translate concepts into engineering drawings per customer specs.
• Prepare BOMs and maintain design documentation and revision control.
