Job summary

City of Noblesville is hiring a Utilities Operator - Conveyance in the Utilities Department for a 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday schedule. The role involves operating a range of heavy equipment and performing inspections of sewer systems to support city infrastructure.

The ideal candidate may have a CDL, experience in pipe and manhole work, and familiarity with the 811 process, contributing to reliable municipal utilities services.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipe repair, manhole construction/repair, and inlet repair is preferred.
• Working knowledge of the 811 process preferred.
• Licensed CDL Driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor and operate various vehicles, including commercial motor vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Operate backhoes, excavators, cleaning trucks, televising equipment, and power tools.
• Perform frequent inspections of manholes, tanks, vaults, sanitary sewer, and combined sewer systems.
• May act as a liaison between homeowners, contractors, and utilities for lateral repairs.
