Job summary

YKTA in Madison, Alabama is seeking a Group Leader to support the Conveyance team and ensure efficient material flow across the plant in a JIT/Kanban setting. The role focuses on designing practical routes to support 30-minute delivery and zero downtime for material shortages.

You will lead hourly staff, drive safety, train tugger and lift operators, and partner with automation vendors to meet specifications while targeting cost savings and KPI attainment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate PIT equipment safely.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Personal computer and software skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly workforce to ensure two-way communication and development of skills.
• Manage time and attendance and coach to improve attendance and turnover.
• Provide training on tugger and lift operations for the Conveyance team.
• Design material flow and support Kanban sequencing to meet 30-minute delivery targets.
• Collaborate with automation vendors and support cost-saving objectives.
• Prepare department KPIs and monitor performance to budget.
