Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Converting Production Manager to lead a manufacturing team in Murfreesboro, TN. You will manage direct reports, coordinate activities, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting production goals and customer deadlines.

You will oversee scheduling, maintenance of equipment, and adherence to company policies, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective communication across departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher in Business, Technical fields preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in the corrugated/converting industry.
• Knowledge of machinery and how to identify issues and troubleshoot equipment.
• Lean and continuous improvement experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn proprietary software for Corrugated Manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct reports and coordinate manufacturing activities.
• Set objectives and ensure attainment across production volumes, quality and safety.
• Monitor metrics like OEE, downtime and waste to drive improvements.
• Revise production schedules in response to equipment issues or last-minute customer demands.
• Collaborate with leadership to optimize operating methods and prevent delays.
• Maintain strong relationships to support upstream and downstream production flows.
