Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in North Carolina seeks a Converting Supervisor to lead the Greensboro plant shift, drive safety, quality and on-time production, and coach hourly workers on problem solving and teamwork. You will plan, assign, and direct work, enforce safety and housekeeping, and partner with maintenance to keep equipment running.

A high school diploma, 3–5 years in manufacturing leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required; bilingual English/Spanish is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role within manufacturing.
• Ability to work in high temperature and humidity with PPE.
• Corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day shift operations with emphasis on safety, quality, waste, delivery and cost.
• Motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to ensure uptime.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Communicate results and issues to Plant Superintendent.
