Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Machine Assistant for the Converting floor in Sturtevant, WI. The role supports the Operator during setup, operation, and changeovers, acting as the primary quality check during production and developing toward Operator competency.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Responsibilities include safety leadership, setting up glue systems, monitoring quality, and performing routine inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operator with all phases of job changeover and setup.
• Operate machine safely for short periods in Operator's absence.
• Perform first-article quality inspections and document results.
• Monitor production counts, speed and waste; communicate deviations.
• Lead outfeed, cleanup, and changeover readiness for next shift.
