Job summary

Wisconsin Converting, Inc. in Green Bay, WI is seeking Machine Operators to operate paper bag converting equipment with in-line printing capabilities at our Green Bay manufacturing facility.

This hands-on role runs and monitors production equipment, performs quality checks, and packages finished products. Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Experience with paper converting, flexographic printing, or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor paper bag converting equipment to meet production and efficiency requirements.
  • Assist with machine setup and changeovers, including print setup and material preparation.
  • Adjust machine components to maintain quality and performance.
  • Monitor production conditions and perform quality inspections.
  • Record quality, production, and other required information in company systems.
  • Identify defects and adjust or report issues as needed.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and communicate equipment problems.
  • Conduct routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Package and label finished products per requirements.
  • Communicate material or supply needs as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Machine Operator
Location: 1689 Morrow St. Green Bay, WI
Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $19-$26/hr

Wisconsin Converting is hiring Machine Operators to operate paper bag converting equipment with in-line printing capabilities at our Green Bay manufacturing facility. This hands‑on position is responsible for running and monitoring production equipment, making routine machine adjustments, performing quality checks, and packaging finished products.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, learning how equipment works, and being part of a fast-paced production environment. Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor paper bag converting equipment to meet production and efficiency requirements.
  • Assist with machine setup and changeovers, including print setup and material preparation.
  • Adjust machine components and settings to maintain product quality, consistency, and proper machine performance.
  • Monitor paper, ink, printing, bag formation, and other production conditions throughout the run.
  • Perform routine quality inspections to verify finished products meet established specifications.
  • Accurately record quality, production, and other required information in company systems.
  • Identify product defects or inconsistencies and make appropriate adjustments or report issues as needed.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical and operational issues and communicate equipment problems requiring additional support.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Package, label, and prepare finished products according to established requirements.
  • Monitor production materials and communicate material or supply needs as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all applicable company policies, procedures, quality requirements, safety requirements, and equipment operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to understand and follow production orders, work instructions, and product specifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and follow equipment operating procedures.
  • Ability to monitor machine performance and make routine operating adjustments.
  • Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and detail.
  • Basic math and measuring skills.
  • Basic computer skills for entering and maintaining production and quality information.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot minor production or equipment issues.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications

  • Experience with paper converting, flexographic printing, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and handle materials and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and upper-body movements associated with machine operation, material handling, and product packaging.
  • Reach and work at various heights and positions while operating, adjusting, and cleaning production equipment.
  • Safely move throughout a manufacturing environment and work around moving machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Regular exposure to paper materials, paper dust, moving machinery, inks, and industrial equipment.
  • May be exposed to odors associated with printing inks, cleaning materials, and other materials used in the manufacturing process.
  • Required to follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
