Job summary

ND Paper in Sturtevant, WI seeks a Converting Shift Lead to direct daily operations of the converting crew on an assigned shift, coordinating crewing, changeovers, production flow, and order priorities while upholding safety and quality.

You will oversee pre-shift huddles, monitor performance, and support onboarding of assistants and operators, with responsibility for shift handoffs and reporting. ND Paper offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operating an FFG, RDC, or similar converting center in corrugated/packaging; leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of converting setup, changeover, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read job tickets, die layouts, and production schedules.
• Basic math and measurement for quality checks and waste tracking.
• Clear verbal communication; able to direct crew across shifts.
• Bilingual in Mandarin or Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-shift huddle and communicate schedule, priorities, safety, and quality alerts.
• Assign and balance crew across machine centers based on skill and demand.
• Monitor attendance and coordinate coverage for breaks/absences.
• Serve as first escalation for operator questions and downtime issues.
• Execute daily production schedule across FFG, RDC, and others, minimizing changeovers.
• Complete shift handoff, downtime, and production reporting on time.
