Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events, headquartered near Chicago with global reach, seeks a Meeting Planner to lead conventions, internal meetings, and sales events. You will ensure precise execution from kickoff to onsite delivery, manage sponsorships, registrations, and budget reconciliation, and maintain strong client and vendor partnerships.

Travel up to 30% yearly is required; a four-year degree and corporate meeting experience are expected to inform your planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in convention, internal meetings, and/or corporate meeting management.
• A four-year college degree.
• Hands-on experience with Cvent and Microsoft Office, especially Excel reporting.
• PowerPoint skills and experience supporting marketing-focused event strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead conventions, internal meetings, and sales events from kickoff to onsite execution and final reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with client policies and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams; provide process guidance.
• Create budgets, generate reports, and manage meeting data with accuracy.
• Manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot issues, and stay organized under pressure.
