Qualifications

  • Experience operating conventional/manual machine tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with close tolerances preferred.
  • Basic welding/fabrication experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other conventional machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Machine metal components to precise dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform threading, boring, drilling, milling, turning, and facing operations.
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
  • Make machine adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy throughout production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
