Job summary

City of Myrtle Beach is seeking a Sales Manager to drive revenue for the Convention Center through promotion at trade shows, conferences, and direct outreach. You will coordinate marketing efforts, manage client communications, and oversee event logistics from inquiry to booking.

The role requires a high school diploma with hospitality/business coursework and at least three years of related experience, along with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with coursework in hospitality, business, or advertising.
• Three (3) years of related experience in hospitality, group sales, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Promotes Convention Center at trade shows, industry conferences, and events.
• Develops marketing materials and maintains client databases for outreach.
• Negotiates contracts, pricing, and space/food/beverage terms with clients.
• Coordinates site inspections and communicates requirements to operations staff.
• Maintains relationships with third-party providers and prepares event documentation.
