Job summary

Charleston County Environmental Management is seeking a motivated, safety-minded individual to work outdoors at the Bees Ferry Convenience Center, assisting residents and delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires an 8th grade education or equivalent, a valid South Carolina driver’s license, and at least one year of public/customer service experience. Schedule includes 7:30 am–6 pm, Mon–Sat; center must be kept clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in dealing with the public / customer service.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
• Flexible schedule: 7:30am–6pm, Mon–Sat.
• 8th grade education or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist residents at convenience centers and answer questions with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the center and surrounding areas; keep debris free.
• Open and close the convenience center on schedule.
• Provide outstanding customer service and help residents with needs and inquiries.

This employee’s primary site will be at HHH Bees Ferry Convenience Center.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $15.00 - $16.96

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for South Carolina with safe driving record


• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to thirty-five (35) pounds.


• One (1) year of experience in dealing with the public/ Customer Service


• Ability to present a positive attitude when dealing with the residents of Charleston County


• This position requires the employee to reach and push with hands and arms; stand; use hands to handle, feel,
  grasp or operate objects, tools or controls; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel,
  crouch, or crawl; use mental acuity and repetitive motion; and walk, talk and hear.


• Work a flexible schedule from 7:30am-6pm Mon- Sat


• Ensuring the timely opening and closing of assigned convenience center


• Maintaining convenience center and surrounding areas are clean and free of debris.

Position requires an 8th grade education OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
