Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. is seeking a maintenance electrician at our Aberdeen, WA manufacturing site. The role focuses on general maintenance and repair of electrical controls and equipment, with responsibilities spanning PLC programming, troubleshooting, and reading technical drawings.

You will work in a self-directed capacity, ensuring safety and reliability in a demanding industrial setting. Responsibilities include editing PLC programs, prioritizing breakdown tasks, and performing setups and

Qualifications

Extensive electrical control experience is required.
Ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.
Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to lift tools, machinery parts up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to endure bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reaching.
Standing for extended periods.
Work under extreme conditions (hot/cold, noise, dust, dirt).

Responsibilities

Update and edit PLC programs using supplied software.
Manage work requirements and prioritize task completion in breakdown situations.
Advanced troubleshooting of PLCs and production machinery.
Safely set up, adjust, maintain, and repair machinery and machine parts.
Read and understand technical drawings, schematics, ladder logic, etc.
Follow all established safety procedures.
Troubleshoot safety circuits.
Other duties as assigned.
