Crocs, Inc. in Vandalia, OH is seeking a hands-on Controls Technician to support industrial control systems used in the distribution center.

You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA controlled equipment across conveyors, scanners, and sortation, and perform preventive maintenance on control panels and drives. The role involves diagnosing faults with electrical wiring, sensors, and motor drives, and coordinating repairs with maintenance and IT/OT as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience supporting industrial automation or controls systems.
Ability to troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA controlled equipment.
Strong reading of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with motor controls, drives, and protection devices.
Familiarity with industrial networks and field diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and restore PLC/HMI/SCADA controlled equipment across material handling and packaging systems.
Isolate faults using diagnostics and verify safe recovery actions to minimize downtime.
Diagnose electrical and control failures using schematics and test equipment.
Support VFDs/servo drives and motor control systems with parameter validation.
Troubleshoot industrial communications and OT connectivity issues with IT/OT as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance on control panels, alarms, and interlocks.
Support scan tunnels and vision systems (Datalogic, SICK, Cognex, Keyence, Zebra).
Assist with automation-to-WMS/WCS interfaces and data flow handoffs.
