Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Technician - Controls 2 to support safe and efficient production by ensuring plant electrical, instrumentation and control systems perform at peak level.

You will lead maintenance, calibration, PLC/HMI programming, and documentation, while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement. This role requires hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and ability to read, write and speak English.
• HS diploma or GED, or 5 years related experience.
• 5 years experience with electronic instrumentation, VFDs and logic control systems.
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays.
• Strong teamwork, mentoring and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities.
• Calibrate instruments and maintain control systems, including temp/pressure/flow devices.
• Install, program, maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs and electrical systems.
• Maintain documentation of plant electrical/control systems and calibration records.
• Support and train other technicians; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Repair or replace defective parts and perform assigned duties by management.
