Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join our Super Intelligence campus team in Memphis, TN. You will support integration, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control panels across campus facilities with a focus on safe, reliable operation.

You will work with controls engineers to maximize uptime of cooling plants, electrical distribution, and data halls, while following NFPA/UL standards and structured troubleshooting practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems in an industrial setting.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and travel as needed.
• Onsite in Memphis, TN area with lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support integration and commissioning of campus equipment with BMS/EPMS/SCADA and PLC controls.
• Perform safe electrical work within NFPA 70E requirements; verify zero energy and safety device functionality.
• Maximize uptime of cooling, electrical, and control assets with troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Wire, commission, and maintain industrial control panels and field devices to NFPA 79 and UL 508A.
• Diagnose PLCs, HMIs, alarms, and I/O status; document changes and recoveries.
• Set up sensors and networks for chillers, pumps, and power distribution; verify signals and network health.
• Support VFDs, pumps, valves, and related equipment; perform resets and dry-cycle checks.
• Provide controls support for campus systems including cooling plants and fire shutdowns.
