Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Controls Technician to repair and maintain electrical and automation systems across a climate-controlled facility. You will program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs and vision systems, troubleshoot complex electromechanical equipment, and lead MTBF improvements while advancing skills through diverse training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley), HMIs and robotics is expected.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot MES/vision systems and networks.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment including conveyors and robotics.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, Vision Systems and networking components.

You Will

• Use your knowledge of RS Logix 500, 5000, computer networking, HMI and robotics to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric, motor, pneumatic, conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment and plant support machines

• Program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI's, Vision Systems and networking

• Engineer MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) improvements

• Grow your knowledge and skills through a wide-variety of training & on-the-job experiences

You Have

• Ability to work Night Shift (6:45pm-7:15am) on schedule cycle of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, repeat

• Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent is strongly

• Minimum of one year of electrical experience. This can be experience gained through paid or unpaid work & education

• Minimum of one year of PLC or Ladder Logic Programming

• Experience with FANUC robots is highly

• Strong ability to troubleshoot & problem solve

• Physical requirement includes ability to lift & move up to 75 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

You'll Earn

• $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

• Night shift includes a shift differential of $1.00 per hour
