Job summary

Plastipak in Newark, OH is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, conveyors, vision systems, and robotics. You will use RS Logix 500/5000, HMI, and networking to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires an Associate’s degree and at least five years of electrical/mechanical experience, plus three years PLC programming and ladder logic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting ladder logic.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot & problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of RS Logix 500, 5000, networking, HMI, and robotics to repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, Vision Systems, and networking.
• Engineer MTBF improvements.

You Will

• Use your knowledge of RS Logix 500, 5000, computer networking, HMI, and robotics to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment, and plant support machines
• Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, Vision Systems, and networking
• Engineer MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) improvements

You Have

• Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting ladder logic
• Strong ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
• Physical requirement includes the ability to lift & move up to 75 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
