Job summary

Sempreon is seeking a Controls Technician at our Lawrenceburg facility to support DCS/OT systems, perform upgrades, and ensure cybersecurity and reliability of the plant’s virtualized environment. You will collaborate with Process Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to enable operational excellence.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, experience with industrial controls and instrumentation, and the ability to provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with DCS programming, HMI screen development, I/O wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with instrumentation and control devices.
• Experience with SAP CMMS for maintenance work orders.
• OSHA, Food Safety, and GMP training.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA-70E; DISCUS and NFPA-70B preferred.
• Experience programming in Siemens PCS7, APACS, TI-505; HMI in WinCC/AIMAX; virtualized environment.
• 2–5 years’ experience in plant operations, preferably in distillation and grain processing.
• Troubleshooting control systems in virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and applications.
• Experience with project development and implementation; electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
• Willingness to learn; strong communication.
• Strong multi-tasking and system management skills.
• CMMS/AutoCAD/MS Office/Visio proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Control System Support: investigate and analyze control system issues across software, hardware, and communication.
• OT System Support: perform routine maintenance and ensure reliability of physical and virtualized equipment.
• Maintenance Support: coordinate with maintenance and electrical teams; lead contract electricians for 24x7 operations.
