Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Controls Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation and process control systems critical to CVI Laser Optics' manufacturing operations. You will support HVAC, cleanroom monitoring, and utilities in a precision manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience with automated controls, proficiency with PLCs, and familiarity with Niagara or Ignition platforms; strong problem-solving, documentation, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of building automation or industrial controls experience.
• Experience in cleanroom or precision manufacturing is a plus.
• Technical education or training in controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure, program, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems.
• Install, wire, commission controllers and sensors.
• Support PLCs and automation systems; diagnose control logic.
• Maintain documentation and CMMS records.
