Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks a Controls Technician for a large commercial bakery in Swedesboro, NJ. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed production lines.

You will lead troubleshooting, perform root-cause analyses, and train Electro-Mechanics across shifts, while ensuring GMP, safety, and quality standards are met. The position is on-site with a 1st and 2nd shift available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of machine layouts, control drawings, P&IDs, system interconnection drawings, and distributed control systems.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming, configuration, and troubleshooting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
