Electrical Automation Services in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed food production lines.

You'll lead troubleshooting, perform root-cause analyses, train Electro-Mechanics across shifts, and oversee preventive maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, and maintenance manuals.
• Proficiency with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls issues.
• Train Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.

Location: This position is on-site in Swedesboro, NJ. Please apply only if you live within commutable distance of Swedesboro.Location: Swedesboro, NJ 08085Pay: $45–$46/hr, plus a $1.50/hr shift differential for 2nd shift.Shifts: 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) available. Weekend availability is required as production needs dictate.We're hiring Controls Technicians for a large commercial bakery in Swedesboro, NJ. You'll maintain, troubleshoot and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation and process control systems on high-speed food production lines, and you'll provide technical leadership and training to Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.What You'll DoMaintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.What You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.Working knowledge of machine layouts, control drawings, P&IDs, system interconnection drawings, and distributed control systems.Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming, configuration, and troubleshooting software.Ability to read electrical schematics, work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.Valid driver's license.Nice to HaveAssociate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related field.Machine design, control system installation, commissioning, and startup experience.Food, bakery, CPG, or continuous process manufacturing experience.CMMS experience.Knowledge of industrial networking, AC/DC drives, servo systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Benefits: medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, paid time off and holidays, paid parental leave, retirement plan, short- and long-term disability, HSA/FSA.
