Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Technician for an on-site role in Swedesboro, NJ. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed food production lines.

You will lead troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and train Electro-Mechanics across shifts, ensuring GMP, safety, and quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience reading schematics, P&IDs, and drawings.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens and Mitsubishi programming and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
