Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Program, commission, and troubleshoot BAS/HVAC control systems.
• Work closely with mechanical and controls service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Visit active job sites to review progress and evaluate completed work.
• Create, organize, and maintain project documentation including submittals and O&M manuals.
• Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and field teams to meet timelines.
• Participate in weekly project coordination and production meetings.
• Track project performance relative to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Resolve field issues efficiently and communicate critical concerns promptly.
• Provide weekly updates and assist with project closeout requirements.
• Ensure all work follows company safety standards and procedures.

About the Opportunity:

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Controls Technician III to join its team in the Phoenix metro area. This role is ideal for a technician with strong HVAC controls knowledge and Niagara programming experience who can support installation, startup, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems across commercial, education, and healthcare facilities.

• Location: Phoenix, AZ (Project-Based Travel)
• Pay Rate: $32-$36/hr (DOE)
• Status: Full-Time / In-Person

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years installing, commissioning, and maintaining HVAC controls systems
• Niagara AX or N4 Certification - required
• BACnet programming and integration experience - required
