The ideal candidate has extensive field experience with BAS/DDC, strong knowledge of Niagara/Distech/Siemens/Automated Logic, and proficiency in BACnet and Modbus networks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years BAS/DDC or HVAC controls experience.
• Proficient with Tridium Niagara, Distech, Siemens or Automated Logic.
• Deep understanding of HVAC controls sequences and operation.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus and networked control architectures.
• Strong wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and submittals interpretation.
• Skilled in programming, testing and optimizing control logic.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Commission BAS/DDC systems including AHUs, RTUs and varous equipment.
• Troubleshoot controls hardware, software, and networks at sites.
• Create/modify programming, graphics and databases (Niagara, Distech, etc).
• Perform functional testing and system validation.
• Install/configure sensors, actuators, and control devices.
• Assist mechanical contractors with start-up and integration.
• Provide customer training and technical support.
• Document commissioning logs and testing procedures.

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing Building Automation & HVAC controls integrator is seeking a highly skilledBAS Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Fort Collins and Northern Colorado region.This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, commissioning, and programming of building automation systemsacross commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hourly Rate: $40.00 – $57.00/hr (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Commission BAS/DDC systems including AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, boilers, chillers, and hydronic equipment
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of controls hardware, software, and communication networks
• Create or modify programming, graphics, and system databases (Niagara, Distech, or similar)
• Conduct functional testing, point-to-point checkout, and system validation
• Install and configure sensors, actuators, relays, and control devices
• Assist mechanical contractors with equipment start-up and system integration
• Provide customer training and technical support
• Document commissioning logs, system updates, and testing procedures

Ideal Candidate
