Controls Technician – Milwaukee, WI:

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production and processing operations, sanitation, and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.

Shift hours: Currently hiring for 3rd shift

• 3rd shift: 11 pm - 7 am
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Plant operation is 24/7.

Pay:

• $42.14 per hour starting.
• Pay for skill program for higher pay rates up to $45.22 per hour

Our Milwaukee manufacturing site is located in a big city, with big city amenities, but with a lower cost than most. Our site was originally owned by the Gardetto family, who created Gardetto’s using leftover breadsticks and seasonings! What your day will look like:

• Creating high-quality foods eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE
• Using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility
• Working with experienced operators eager to pass down knowledge to willing learners
• Challenging yourself to do the job right and gaining skills for future opportunities

• Applying electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge to build, repair, troubleshoot, and modify electrical components and controls. Troubleshooting current systems and designing system improvements.
• Being a key control systems resource for the shift
• Executing work orders related to controls generated by operators, mechanics, and engineers
• Collaborating with Controls Engineers on project planning and problem-solving
• Developing knowledge in:
• PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, Wonderware, AB PanelView, sensors, and more
• Process PID loops, instrumentation, networks, and control systems

What you have to offer:

• Associates degree or equivalent plus 3 years of related experience
• Licensed industrial electrician preferred and required within 2 years
• Ability to perform at a basic mechanic level
• Knowledge of electrical theory and calculations
• Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and troubleshooting
• Skills in installing and maintaining various electrical and control devices
• Basic skills in relevant software tools
• Knowledge of supporting codes and standards

Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Performing physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, etc.
• Work at heights and in various environmental conditions
• Ability to wear protective gear and adhere to safety standards
