Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking an E&C Technician to keep manufacturing operations running safely and reliably, maintaining electrical and automation systems across the plant. You’ll troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support upgrades to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

You will work alongside mechanics, operators, and engineers, contributing to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of industrial electrical and automation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical technology or E&I journeyman certification preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures, work instructions, and documenting maintenance activities clearly.
• Physical requirements: lift 50 lbs, work in loud areas, and in varying temperatures.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, and automation issues, including PLCs, networks, drives, and safety devices.
• Support equipment improvements through control changes and system upgrades.
• Assist mechanics and operators with diagnosing control-related problems.
• Write, modify, and maintain moderate to complex control programs.
• Maintain system backups and update electrical schematics and documentation.
• Participate in planned shutdowns and major maintenance projects.
• Follow safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an E&C Technician, you’ll help keep our manufacturing operations running safely and reliably by maintaining and improving electrical and control systems across the plant. You’ll troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support upgrades that improve equipment performance and reduce downtime. Working alongside mechanics, operators, and engineers, this role plays an important part in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

PAY:

• Pay: $39.47
• Shift Differential: Additional +$1.50/hr for night shift

SHIFT / SCHEDULE DETAILS:

• Shift: 6:00PM to 6:30PM
• Schedule: 2-2-3 (will work every other weekend; Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and automation systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, and automation issues, including PLCs, networks, drives, and safety devices
• Support equipment improvements through control changes and system upgrades
• Assist mechanics and operators with diagnosing control-related problems
• Write, modify, and maintain moderate to complex control programs
• Maintain system backups and keep electrical schematics and documentation up to date
• Participate in planned shutdowns, electrical distribution work, and capital or major maintenance projects
• Follow all safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements always

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 – 3 years of industrial electrical and automation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with additional experience with instrumentation and calibration
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical technology or E&I journeyman certification preferred
• Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures, work instructions, and documenting maintenance activities clearly
• Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): Able to lift 50 lbs, move throughout your shift, varying temperatures, and work safely in loud areas and confined spaces
• Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as needed

SKILLS:

• Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, servo systems, safety relays, and control panels
• Experience with Allen Bradley hardware and software and common industrial networks
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and documentation skills
• Team focused approach with attention to detail, reliability, and a continuous learning mindset

Pay:$39.47 per hour
