Job summary

Nestlé USA in Medford, WI seeks an E&A Technician to support the production of household pizza brands. You will troubleshoot PLCs, servos, safety relays, and wiring, calibrate instruments, and maintain calibration records to keep the line running smoothly.

The role requires teamwork with operators and maintenance staff, and readiness to participate in plant shutdowns and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an Industrial Electrical technical field preferred.
• Possession or pursuit of Wisconsin state electrical license may be required.
• Experience with calibration and maintenance of electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs, servos, and safety relays to diagnose faulty wiring or components.
• Calibrate sensors, meters, and instruments and document results.
• Update prints to reflect wiring changes and create/improve PMs.
• Participate in yearly plant shutdowns and support calibration activities.
• Maintain a safe, GMP-compliant work environment and collaborate with operators and line leads.

We are hiring an E&A Technician at Nestlé’s Medford manufacturing facility who will directly contribute to the production of household pizza brands known and loved by American families. $5,000 sign on bonus is available.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

Schedule: We are seeking 2nd shift E&A Techs

• 2nd Shift: 2PM to 10PM see schedule below (OT as needed)

These are not traditional Monday - Friday shifts - it's a moving schedule. You must have availabilities on the weekends and your days off are in RED on the image below:

Starting hourly pay of $34.05/hr

• $1.50/hr 2nd shift differential

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

• Electrical skills on the following technologies:
• PLCs: Pico, Mico, CompactLogix, SLC500, ControlLogix, Guard Logix and PLC-5
• Servo’s: Ultra, Kinetix
• Networks: Ethernet /IP, Sercos, DH-485, DH+ and Remote I/O
• Safety devices: Guard I/O, Safety relays
• Drives: 160, 1305, 1336, PF4, PF40, PF70
• Software: Linx, Drive Executive, RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, PanelBuilder32, FactoryTalk View, Asset Centre, BOOTP-DHCP Server, RSNetworx
• Computer Skills including familiarity with: Electrical Software, Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP, and SharePoint
• Acquire and maintain calibration training
• Calibrate flow meters, RTDs, thermocouples, pressure sensors, scales, etc.
• Documenting calibration results
• Assisting with outside resources performing calibration
• Skills on the following electrical testing devices to connect, set-up, and perform testing to troubleshoot plant issues
• Multimeters: AC/DC voltage and amperage, milliamp, millivolt, OHM’s, frequency and min/max readings
• Oscilloscope: AC/DC voltage and amperage, milliamp, millivolt, OHM’s, frequency and min/max readings
• Power Logger: AC connections
• IR Camera: Take images and review them with the Fluke software
• Calibration equipment: Calibration tester, dry blocks, etc.
• Daily checklist (start-up Electrical)
• Updating prints to reflect wiring changes
• Creating and improving PMs
• Participating in yearly plant shutdowns on the main electrical distribution systems
• Re-builds of contactors
• Removal and installation of equipment
• Maintain close working relationship with equipment operators and line team leaders
• Abide by all plant rules/policies including safety, GMP regulations and perform good housekeeping practices
• Working with the other maintenance techs to increase their electrical skills
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment with all departments

EDUCATION:

• Associate degree in an Industrial Electrical technical field such as Automation Systems Technology or electrical Industrial or E&I Journeyman is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Highly skilled electrical troubleshooting of plc’s, servo’s, and safety relays for bad components or faulty wiring
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interpret and comprehend technical literature and print documentation (European, American, Italian)
• Working knowledge of switchboards, McC’s, panel boards, control cabinets.
• Utilize a computer (laptop/desktop) to troubleshoot and repair faulty networked components.
• Obtaining and maintaining a Wisconsin state electrical license and continuing education may be required
• Obtaining calibration training and maintaining certification may be required

The approximate pay for this position is $34.05/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
