• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams; perform basic PLC programming as needed.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Technician with a minimum of 3 years of industrial controls experience to support production equipment, electrical systems, and automation in a manufacturing environment. Engineering candidates with hands-on controls experience are also encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:Troubleshoot and support Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and MCCs.Perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting involving motors, drives, power distribution, and control systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot flow, level, temperature, and pressure instrumentation.Independently connect to PLCs via laptop/Ethernet, identify faults, troubleshoot equipment failures, and determine root causes.Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and wiring diagrams.Perform basic PLC programming and logic adjustments as needed.Utilize CMMS for preventive maintenance, work orders, and maintenance documentation.Follow and promote safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, GMPs, and food manufacturing standards.Role Focus:This is a highly hands-on position, with approximately 60–70% electrical/field troubleshooting and 30–40% controls programming and adjustments. This is not primarily a software development role.Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate has a field service or industrial maintenance background, strong PLC troubleshooting and electrical diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve production equipment issues.
