Job Description Summary

A Controls Tech will diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment. Assist with project-related design, installation, and commissioning of controls systems.

Job Duties

  1. Assist with troubleshooting and repair of down equipment.
  2. Navigate ladder logic, including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
  3. Work with electrical voltages ranging from 24 DC to 480 volts AC.
  4. Use test equipment such as a multimeter, megger, phase rotation meter, and oscilloscope.
  5. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  6. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in CNC mills, lathes, shapers, and forge press controls.
  7. Learn to operate Keyence laser software and 2D barcode software for adjustments.
  8. Familiarity with Fanuc or Nachi robots for recovery, point adjustment, and programming.
  9. Assist with project-related design, installation, and commissioning.
  10. Understand basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and equipment.
  11. Research and procure parts as necessary.
  12. Analyze and resolve machine and conveyor problems.
  13. Establish or adjust work processes to meet production schedules.
  14. Address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  15. Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom trucks.
  16. Collaborate with Engineering on process improvements.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.
