Job summary

Multimatic Indiana - New Haven in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a Controls Technician for 2nd shift to drive automation with PLCs and robotics for optimized production. The role includes maintaining equipment and supporting preventive maintenance programs to ensure high uptime.

Qualified candidates will troubleshoot electrical controls and programming, work with diverse robot platforms, and collaborate with technical services to ensure smooth production and changeovers. Shift flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years electrical training or journeyman experience.
• 3–5 years automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PLCs, robots, and automation systems.
• Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, drives, communications, plant power, wiring, circuits, and robot paths.
• Program changes to PLC, HMI, and robots as needed.
• Support machine repair, changeover, setup and operation.
• Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled.
• Assist in keeping spare parts inventory and documentation.
