Job summary

Marvin in Fargo, ND is seeking a CEPG Controls Team Supervisor to guide the Controls team while continuing to perform controls work. You’ll mentor technicians and coordinate projects, partnering with SCADA, database systems, and PLCs to integrate sophisticated automated manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of manufacturing software including ICIM and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with PLC and operator interface programming languages.
• Familiarity with standard networking technologies and hardware.
• Knowledge of SCADA, automation control systems, and related components.
• Knowledge of data communication protocols and operating systems (Windows/Unix/Linux).

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work, collaborating with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems, and Operations.
• Support team leadership activities, including interviewing candidates, training employees, planning work, balancing workloads, delegating assignments, evaluating work, addressing concerns, and resolving problems.
• Research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency and support production demands.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming-related issues; propose preventive maintenance rules and process improvements.
• Manage projects and timelines through completion while maintaining feedback loops and end-user training.
• Liaise with vendors to align equipment and wiring with Marvin specs and collaborate across departments.
