Johnson Controls International plc. seeks a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee field technician activities, optimize monthly routes, and drive profitability, safety, and client satisfaction.

You will analyze performance, coordinate with sales, and ensure safety compliance across HVAC services. The role requires leadership experience, development planning, and the ability to improve processes and delivery systems while aligning with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive operational experience in HVAC services.
• Three (3) years of experience in a management role with responsibility for the productivity and development of others.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent working experience.
• Johnson Controls Metasys experience.
• Eight (8) years’ experience in an operational HVAC role with leadership responsibilities.
• Sigma Green Belt (Six Sigma Green Belt).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and provides leadership for assigned teams.
• Ensure developmental plans are in place.
• Leads the execution efforts of assigned business and ensures consistency of delivery systems.
• Monitors and supervises the business plans.
• Coordinates the team's work with sales to ensure all sales opportunities are supported, including linkage to installation opportunities.
• Raises potential market opportunities to the appropriate branch or region resource for strategic direction.
• Ensures that serviced account portfolios achieve growth, proper profit levels, and customer satisfaction.
• Recruits, hires and retains operational staff.
• Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations, performance reviews, and development plans for direct reports teaming with the appropriate matrix functional manager.
• Works with team leaders to ensure proper workforce and skill levels for the successful and profitable execution of the business.
• Performs other duties related to customer satisfaction, deployment of pivotal initiatives to teams, development and maintenance of team business plans and account management of service customers.

Responsibilities

• Drives service and installation operational review meetings, reviewing bids and estimates for accuracy.
• Effectively applies branch workforce and management and deployment of overall resources.
• Analyzes operations processes and provides recommendations for improvements.
• Implements other managerial responsibilities, i.e., performance reviews and acquisitions consistent with established business strategy.
• Recruits, hires and retains operational staff.
• Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations, performance reviews, and development plans for direct reports teaming with the appropriate matrix functional manager.
• Ensures a consistent level of coaching, which includes monthly one on one(s), operational and financial reviews.
• Works with team leaders to ensure proper workforce and skill levels for the successful and profitable execution of the business.
• Performs other duties related to customer satisfaction, deployment of pivotal initiatives to teams, development and maintenance of team business plans and account management of service customers.

• Salary range: $89,400 – $134,250 (salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities).
