Job summary

Qualifications

• Vocational or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or related field + 3 years of industry experience or 4+ years servicing electronic/mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site prep, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally to customers.
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-complex Building Automation work on-site.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC-related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems and respond to warranty calls.
• Provide customers with high-level service to resolve building inefficiencies and on-site issues.
• Load system-level controller software and perform commissioning diagnostics from controllers to end devices.
• Maintain commissioning documentation and contribute to as-built updates.
• Communicate progress and issues to the JCI contractor or customer and follow safety protocols.
