Johnson Controls in Metairie, LA is seeking a Controls Systems Technician to perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration tools and to troubleshoot HVAC controls at client sites.

• Vocational or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or related field + 3 years of industry experience or 4+ years servicing electronic/mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site prep, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally to customers.
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-complex Building Automation work on-site.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC-related software.

Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. **What we look for*****Required*** * Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 4+ years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.* Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.* Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.* Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.* Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.* PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software. **Preferred*** Experience with Metasys or other Building Automation software.HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $32-$46 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
