Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Glendale, Wisconsin is seeking a pre-entry level engineering student to join a team that develops equipment controls, building automation systems and smart building products. You will work under experienced engineers to apply and grow your development skills and contribute to testing, simulations and small projects.

This role is part-time during the school year and full-time in summer, with an hourly pay range of $21–$24 and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Learn quickly and independently.
• Experience with Matlab and/or Simulink preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Basic software coding skills required.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Prior internship is a plus.
• Able to work 12 hrs+ per week during school and 40 hrs/week in summer.

Responsibilities

• Join the team that develops Equipment Controls, Building Automation Systems and Smart Building products.
• Design, build and set up automated test configurations to execute test plans.
• Assist development team with troubleshooting defects.
• Work on small projects that aid in development, simulation and emulation.
