Job summary

Johnson Controls in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level engineering student to join the HVAC systems and applications development team. The role will support developing control-related products, test configurations and simulations under close supervision from experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with interest in control systems, thermodynamics, and software/hardware integration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at an accredited university.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Experience with Matlab and/or Simulink preferred.
• Excel experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior internship is a plus.
• Ability to work 12+ hours per week during school year and 40 hours per week in summer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, building and setting up automated test configurations.
• Aid development team with troubleshooting defects.
• Work on small projects that aid in development, simulation and emulation of products.
• Learn about general system components of Johnson Controls Global Products business.
