Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a dynamic Controls Specialist to drive automation innovation in Exton, PA. You’ll tackle complex client challenges, design and deliver cutting-edge solutions, and oversee high-impact projects from concept to completion, collaborating with an energetic internal team.

The role requires 3–5 years in automation, a strong engineering background, and a proven track record in control systems design, procurement, programming, testing, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering
• 3-5 years’ experience in Automation as Engineer or Technologist
• Proven track record in design, procurement, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems
• A proven self-starter with a positive, “can-do” attitude who is motivated by solving complex challenges
• Strong client-focused approach, dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences to our internal and external customers
• Ability to multi-task, exercise good judgment and prioritize workload through outstanding organizational skills
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Willingness to travel or adjust work hours as required for the role. Travel within US and Canada
• Experience in Food & Beverage, Automotive, Agriculture or Oil & Gas industry
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop a team to achieve results
• Experience in Rockwell/Siemens PLCs, HMI, instrumentation, VFDs/servos, and network design

Responsibilities

• Deliver tasks and subsystems with increasing autonomy and accountability
• Diagnose issues and implement practical, value-driven solutions
• Collaborate with senior team members and project leads to deliver results
• Participate in planning, design reviews, and delivery discussions focusing on scope, quality, and outcomes
• Assist with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or deployment activities
