Job summary

Astek is building a world-class controls software team in Chattanooga. You will design and implement control software for heavy construction equipment, using PLCs, embedded controllers, and HMI displays. Expect collaboration with electrical and mechanical engineers, with responsibility for requirements, design, and testing.

The role involves traveling for testing and customer interactions, leading software reviews, and continuous improvement of software processes and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the design and development of industrial or mobile equipment control software.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for control of heavy construction equipment (PLCs, embedded controllers, HMI).
• Create product requirements and software design reviews, unit and integration testing.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to implement control algorithms.
• Lead software/hmi design reviews and assist customers with function/app issues.
