Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controls Service Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and retrofit of PLC-based control systems on hydraulic and servo-electric presses. You will collaborate with engineering and production to ensure reliable automation and uptime.

The role requires 5-7 years in manufacturing, a technical degree, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with some travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 7–10 years industry experience without a bachelor's degree.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC-based controls and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair PLC-based press control systems.
• Install, configure and commission control systems for hydraulic and servo presses.
• Modernize hydraulics controls and upgrade PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers.
• Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Develop and debug PLC logic and HMI screens.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and tune hydraulic systems.
• Maintain service reports and wiring diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to train staff.
