Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Controls Proposal Engineer for the Lone Star Turbo business in Houston, TX. The role focuses on reviewing customer inquiries and developing accurate technical and commercial proposals for industrial control panel systems used in blowers and compressors.
The engineer leads during quotation, coordinating with sales, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to define scope and build competitive bids.
Qualifications
- 2+ years reviewing customer specifications and developing technical proposals.
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, process, and instrumentation docs.
- Experience with control panels, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automation equipment.
Responsabilités
- Review RFQs, specifications, datasheets, drawings, and commercial requirements.
- Define scope of supply and system architecture for control panels and automation.
- Develop cost estimates including material, labor, engineering, and subcontracted services.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and bid docs.
- Identify risks and clarifications; ensure NEC/UL 508A compliance.
