Job summary

Addison Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Controls Project Manager to lead Building Automation System (BAS) projects from concept to completion. You will drive project execution, support sales efforts, and ensure on-time delivery across multiple BAS initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in BAS, hands-on experience with Automated Logic, Siemens Desigo, Distech, or Tridium/Niagara, and strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Experience with control systems such as Automated Logic, Siemens Desigo, Distech Controls, or Tridium/Niagara.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, building automation/controls, boilers, air conditioning, and/or chillers.
• 3–5 years of experience in energy management, building commissioning, and/or system diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• Identify and elevate project issues in a timely manner
• Estimate and support the sale of BAS construction projects and change orders
• Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor

• Collaborate with internal teams and divisions to ensure project alignment and efficiency
• Participate in sales meetings and assist with client engagement as needed
• Facilitate and attend project meetings throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain active involvement in relevant professional and industry organizations

Job Summary

The Controls Project Manager is responsible for managing Building Automation System (BAS) projects from initial concept through completion. This role plays a key part in driving the growth of the controls department by overseeing project execution, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
