Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking a Project Leader Engineering I - Controls to lead design and implementation of automated control systems.

You will guide hardware, software, and electrical engineering through all lifecycle phases, coordinating with customers and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery. Ideal candidates have a strong background in control systems engineering, project management, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in implementing large-scale material/baggage systems.
• 10+ years in design/engineering for heavy industrial facilities.
• Project management experience essential.
• Experience with integration and configuration management.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and electrical panel design.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects from conception through client handover with successful technical performance and financial results.
• Manage control system design from hardware to commissioning and handover.
• Oversee work by subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensure designs meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, test plans, and manuals.
• Manage project documentation, approvals, and archiving.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and present solutions clearly.
• Support bids with system and sales departments.
• Lead health and safety analysis during engineering.
