Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Project Leader Engineering I - Controls to lead the design and implementation of automated control systems. You will guide hardware, software, and electrical design, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires expertise in PLC/HMI/SCADA, project management, and strong communication with customers and internal groups. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in implementing and managing complex material and/or baggage handling systems.
• 10+ years in design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems for heavy industrial facilities.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with integration and configuration management.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Electrical panel design and Ethernet network knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead control system design from hardware to commissioning and client handover.
• Oversee subcontractors and internal teams to meet specifications and client requirements.
• Review and approve technical documentation and electrical drawings.
• Manage project documentation, reviews, approvals, and archiving.
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups and stakeholders to maintain relationships.
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders and manage change requests.
