Job summary

Vanderlande in the United States is seeking a Project Leader Engineering I - Controls to lead the design and implementation of automated control systems, requiring strong technical leadership across planning, design, fabrication and commissioning to ensure performance, quality, safety and reliability while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in implementing and managing large material/baggage handling systems.
• 10+ years in design/engineering of instrumentation and control systems for heavy industrial facilities.
• Project management experience and CM/PM process familiarity.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA in industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects from conception through client handover with positive technical and financial results.
• Design control systems from hardware to testing and handover.
• Oversee work by subcontractors and internal staff.
• Ensure designs meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Review technical documentation including electrical drawings and test plans.
• Manage project documentation and archiving.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate timelines and resources with project leaders.
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders and respond to concerns.
• Manage requirements and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with quotations with systems and sales departments.
• Coordinate with cross-functional Vanderlande groups.
• Perform health and safety analysis during engineering phase.
