Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a senior Control Systems Engineer to lead design & execution of complex baggage handling and material handling projects. You will supervise hardware, PLC/SCADA software, electrical panels, I/O networks and system integration from conception through client handover.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive documentation review, and collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams to meet specifications and codes while maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in implementing and managing highly complex material and/or baggage handling systems.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems for heavy industrial facilities.
• Project management experience.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects from conception through handover with positive results on technical performance, financial results and organization.
• Manage control system design from hardware, system and network design, software development, electrical installation, integration and testing to customer handover.
• Oversee work by subcontractors and internal staff to ensure compliance with specs and client requirements.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including electrical drawings, I/O drawings, network diagrams, test plans and operating manuals.
• Maintain project documentation, approvals, and archiving.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to manage timelines and resources.
