Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Controls Intern for Summer 2027 in New Hudson, Michigan. You will assist engineers with vehicle electrical architecture, CAN definitions, and hardware integration, gaining hands-on experience across embedded systems in automotive and motorsport contexts.

Ideal candidates are pursuing BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, with interest in rapid prototyping, ROS, and Simulink.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering.
• Interest in embedded systems and vehicle electronics.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers with Vehicle Electrical Architecture: develop integration strategy, define power generation/storage.
• Define CAN architecture and vehicle wiring.
• Research, select sensors, actuators, motors, energy storage, and related hardware.
• Develop and support algorithms in Simulink in a rapid prototype environment.
• Calibrate software and validate in test vehicles.
