Job summary

Pratt Miller is seeking a mid‑level Controls Engineer to support vehicle controls, software development, electronics integration and system commissioning. The role focuses on developing control algorithms for electrified and unmanned platforms, with exposure to prototype vehicles and multi-domain modeling.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of engineering experience and strong skills in MATLAB/Simulink, CAN tools, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. This is an on-site position in New Hudson, MI.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in relevant engineering fields with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience defining control architectures and implementing algorithms.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development.
• Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, LIN, Wireless protocols; vehicle electrification.

Responsibilities

The Controls Engineer will utilize fundamental engineering knowledge and practices to support design and development of control algorithms. Performs assignments with minimal instruction and guidance from senior level engineers and managers.
