Job summary

Taurus Power and Controls, part of Pacific Northern Environmental LLC, seeks a Controls & Instrumentation Technician to support field and shop testing, startup, and maintenance of electrical and control systems. The role emphasizes problem solving, independent work, and travel to client sites across the region.

Ideal candidates have an AAS in instrumentation or related field, 2–5 years of experience, and strong knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, instrumentation, and panel fabrication.

Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Instrumentation, mechatronics, or industrial electronics.
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar field preferred.
• Understand hazards around electrical circuits.
• Customer relation and communication skills; report writing; self-starter mentality.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup and testing of Instrumentation, VFDs, Emergency Lighting Inverters, PLCs and other industrial control equipment.
• Identify problems and troubleshoot failures in the listed devices.
• Work independently when required.
• Travel up to areas including OR, WA, ID; occasional after-hours work.
