Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced automation engineer in Wisconsin to design and implement automation and process control systems, providing on-site support to customers and mentoring junior team members. The role involves collaboration with project managers on scope and planning, and participation in after-hours on-call rotations.

• Associate Degree in Automated Manufacturing or 8 years advanced PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and system startup experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
• Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Able to work independently; assess and troubleshoot service needs under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation and process control systems for projects, including new installations, modifications, and customer support.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Automated Manufacturing, Electro Mechanical Technology, EET OR Experience: 8 years advanced PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and system startup experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.
• Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with PLC program development and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong leadership skills.
